It’s quite simple: we love it when good food brings people together!
That is why we have made Florent a relaxed and welcoming place. Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy good food and delicious wines in copious quantities, for normal prices.
We stimulate the senses and initiate conversations about the French cuisine in all its diversity. Our basis is French classics such as a steak tartare or a tender côte de boeuf, but we excel when we think out of the box. We get our inspiration from all over the world. That’s why our menu always has dishes alternating between classics with unusual ingredients and adventurous variations. And we call that bistronomy with bravado!

Florent is the expression of our love for the French bistro. Because we love French bistro dishes, which are high in flavor and deliciously surprising. Special wines, a perfect French classic, an unusual course in between.
Because beautiful and tasty food makes us happy. And we serve that in copious quantities. Heavenly sauces, fascinating side dishes and complementary combinations. We sometimes go against the trends in this, because taste is paramount.
Although our menu changes and renews regularly, there is always one constant: it is always a playful balance between French classics and bistronomic innovations.
We also like a playful relationship between wine and food. The wines are of course complementary, but we don’t like clichés. That is why we have carefully compiled a surprising wine list with internationally oriented, classic and new world wines.

We do not get our ingredients from suppliers in exotic places far away, but rather in our own Utrecht backyard. As fresh as possible. This way we can cook with respect for nature and its seasons. We regularly go on a voyage of discovery to do our ‘groceries’ at new places. We do this because we are curious, but also because we like to give something back to our neighbors.
